Complete release details

See all code, PRs, and tickets tied to your release in one clear snapshot

Runway gathers and shows all the work-in-progress for a given version, pulling together any commits/code since the preceding version’s release tag, any open PRs against the release branch, any tickets which are explicitly labeled for the release, any tickets which are referred to by code related to the releases, and any code which references (via commit message, PR title, or branch name) a ticket that is labeled for release.

Generic ToC item

Filter and sort ongoing work

Quickly focus on the release details most relevant to you with persistent filters

Filter items by project, ticket owner, code author, and code or ticket status to fine-tune the Feature Readiness view to make it most useful both to you as an individual contributor and on a team level. These filters are persistent on a user-by-user basis, so you can leave and come back where you’ve left off.

Ping owners of pending work

Quickly ping pending work owners to keep releases on track without manual chasing

Chase down work without doing any chasing at all. When you click the “Ping all pending owners” button, Runway will send a notification into Slack tagging the respective owners of the code and/or project management tickets associated with the pending work.

Details from all your tools

View complete details for any work item from across all your tools

Clicking on an item’s row will open a new details drawer. Navigate here to see the full run-down on a particular item of work, with extra info drawn from across your different tools. Or hover over the info icon on any item in the Feature Readiness step to find out exactly why Runway has associated it with the release.

Working branch progress

See exactly how your working branch stacks up for your next release

It can be useful to  track progress towards a release before it’s actually been kicked off. So you can switch your base branch in feature readiness to view progress towards the release relative to your main development branch. You need only set a working branch in your App Settings to do so.

Item-level build info

Direct your team to the right build for each work item without guesswork

Runway surfaces the latest relevant build each item of work can be found in: either your latest or selected Release Candidate build, or else the latest working branch build. (If the item of work hasn’t yet appeared in any build, we’ll tell you that.)

Ignore work that doesn’t matter

Toggle items in or out of your release readiness tracking anytime

Sometimes you may not want a piece of work to be counted towards the release, but still want to get the release to feature complete. Ignore an item of work so it won’t be considered in determining Feature Readiness. You can always bring back that item by clicking “Include”.
